In order to make this photo appear more professional and authentic I changed a lot of its attributes. The first thing that I changed was the contrast of the image, I did this because I felt that it needed to have a bit more vibrancy and colour to it. I adjusted the vibrance to make the colour pop out stronger than before and to also help the fact that the original lighting was not very good. I also wanted to add some shadow to it so as to give it more depth of field and not have the photograph be bland and flat in it's appearance. I think that by giving it more detail and darkness in the shading, really brought out the stronger colours and aspects of the photograph. The next part of the image that I changed was the colour grading. I went for a yellow/golden tint to highlight the summer vibe of the image and the theme of the magazine cover. I made it brighter by changing the temperature of the shot so it was +15 which means that it was hotter. The last adjustment which I made to the photograph was its size and scale. I slightly stretched the image to make it bigger and fit across the magazine cover much better.

When editing this photograph I decided to first change the lighting and exposure of the image. I edited the image in photoshop and used the Camera Raw Filter settings to adjust it. By changing the contrast I made the model much more visible with a lot less shading , this was so that I the image was bright but also clear. I heavily edited the vibrancy and saturation on this photo as I felt that the original was pretty bland with dull lighting. I think that this made my editing more effective by creating a stronger contrast between the original and the current one. My having an image that is very dull and grey compared with one that is vibrant and colourful really shows the difference between the two. Next, I changed the shading of the image by adding a lot of contrast and removing a lot of the shadows so as to make the model more colourful and blend in better with the lighter background. The original has a lot of dull and un-needed shading in the photo, so to get rid of the shading I just turned down the shadows for the whole photograph. After that I adjusted the colour grading so as to make the colour of the models cloths pop more and give off a strong vibrant look that made it more appealing and attractive like a magazine cover should be. The final thing that I worked on was the brightness, I made the image just a little brighter and less saturated in order to give it a more lighter, healthier tone that fit with the theme of my magazine.

To enhance the quality of this photo I, did a lot of things. The first major change that I made was increasing the vibrancy and highlights up so as to make it stand apart from the others, this was because I thought that the others were all a bit too desaturated and lacking in colour so I wanted to try something different with this one. I then changed highlights to a lower setting, and kept the shadows the same, I then turned the whites down and finally turned the black up a bit so as to give the image a bit more depth of field.

To make this photograph better I, Changed a lot of the light settings, this is because the lighting for the original photograph that I took were not at the time and meant that all of my photos were slightly desaturated. I have had to practise with using the Lightroom settings in order to correct the layout of the image and get it to look exactly how I want. I turned up the contrast in order to create more detail and to add a bit more colour and life to the image. The second thing that I did to upgrade the original image, was to put the colour grading up to 30+ so as to make everything look a bit lighter but not to light to the point were everything gets bleached out. The final change I made was to the shadows for the model, giving it more of a depth and making the photograph more 3 dimensional.

To improve this image I, changed just a few different settings around to try and make it more wintery and more cold. I desaturated the image because I wanted to give this photograph a darker, more sleeker look. I did this by first of all changing the light settings for the image and then later desaturating it as well as playing with the black and white settings. After that I turned the highlights down because it gave the image a sort of darker and more refined edge to it that I didn't have in the other photographs. Next I adjusted the shadows and made them less visible so as not to distract from the model, giving the image more negative space in the background. I changed the blacks and whites so as to make it more defined and slightly more extravagant.
